I enjoy understanding the students’ vision for what they would like to achieve and planning lessons to help them refine their techniques and ideas. This can be through practical art lessons where I offer skill-based learning, tailored to their goals, or theory based lessons where we go through portfolios, sketchbooks and essays and work on how to improve and develop their writing and presentation skills.
I prefer a fun and free environment for lessons and encourage students to feel comfortable and safe; creating and sharing your art can be vulnerable!
I have completed both GCSE and A-Level Art and achieved an A. I currently sell paintings and commissions as a local artist and would love to use my skills to help students achieve their full potential in this subject. Furthermore, I am completing a degree in psychology and have transferable skills at a university level, such as computing skills, essay writing and group work.
