My teaching style is very adaptable depending on the student and how they would best learn (I can see/ask about how it seems they best understand information). For example, I could start by setting an assessment with varying topics to see what their strengths and weaknesses are, and then plan the lessons accordingly.
Regarding the lessons themselves, again, it’d depend on what the student is after. Whether that’s help with content and helping them understand it, or if it’s exam technique assistance or even a mix of both.
I have previously mentored mathematics in college whilst I was in the second year, helping a first-year A Level maths student go up 3 grades.
I do enjoy teaching others and have done from a young age. That being with my siblings, cousins and even friends. I have taught them various things, ranging from SATs, GCSEs and even 11-plus exams.
I achieved 8 grade 9s at GCSE and 3 A stars at A Level.
I achieved a grade 9 in maths and further maths at GCSE and an A star at a level. Whilst also achieving gold in the maths challenge previously.
I am a second-year student at UCL studying medicine(which included a rigorous process of interviews and entrance exams, something else I could help with).
I currently am looking to tutor maths, however upon request could help with other subjects/general advice with exams or specific subjects, as I have refined the top tips over the years.
I look forward to helping tutor anyone interested!
