I have taught on different platforms both traditional and non traditional students for 30 years. I believe that every student has a unique learning curve and experience. Not everyone can learn the same way . So I always vary my teaching style to the students needs and comfort. Some students are auditory, others visual, some both. It all m early I like to speak with my student and assess where they are at and what they are having trouble with so we know how to proceed. Once this is achieved I will create a lesson plan and goal with a time frame and we will discuss it further and begin. Every lesson we will start with an objective, an introduction. I will deliver the instruction in various ways and methods adapted to that students needs. I will then do guides practice and further independent practice. We can then review everything and correct errors, misconceptions or ask even more questions. Then give additional practice and provide more resources.

This is a basic outline of a typical lesson. While it may sound regimented it is very casual and easy flowing when actually learning in “ real time” students can stop me interrupt ask questions to re visit an idea during the time . Whatever is needed. I am patient funny and try to make it as simple enjoyable and real world applicable as possible.
