A versatile, reliable and self-motivated educational professional, I have worked in diverse settings including private and state schools, peripatetic teaching and the care and prison sectors. Currently working on a supply basis, I can offer flexibility and an enthusiasm for professional development and meeting new challenges. In addition to teaching Business, Economics and ICT, I have been involved in sports and music activities.
Throughout my career I have developed a very sound and professional relationship with students, staff, academic staff and examining bodies I have worked / liaised with. I believe I can interact particularly well both within both business and academic contexts and also within differing learning environments, as both a teacher and within a pastoral context.
I am a registered as a Moderator for EdExcel. I have been responsible for the creation & maintenance of Department handbooks and schemes of work for ICT years 7-13 (KS3, GCSE, AS & A2), UCAS Applications, Business Studies years 10-13 (GCSE, AS & A2), OCR Understanding Business Enterprise Activities Levels 1,2 & 3, Business Planning & Finance Skills, Time Management, Tiling (NOCN), Painting & Decorating (City & Guilds) and Functional / Key Skills (OCR). I hold current enhanced DBS and ACRO (Criminal Records Office) ICP (International Child Protection) certification.
