My lessons are dynamic, interactive, and tailored to diverse learning needs. Drawing on over a decade of teaching experience, including inquiry-based learning and the Cambridge O and N levels curriculum, I design sessions that engage students intellectually and creatively. I focus on making complex scientific concepts accessible and relatable through hands-on activities, multimedia resources, and real-world examples.
The format of my lessons often blends direct instruction with collaborative group work (where needed), discussions, and problem-solving tasks. I value student input, fostering a two-way exchange that encourages curiosity and critical thinking. My teaching strategies are inclusive, taking into account the linguistic and cultural backgrounds of my students, including international learners. I work closely with language teachers to ensure that language barriers do not hinder academic success.
Feedback is integral to my approach. Weekly student check-ins and peer-reviewed open classroom sessions help me continuously refine my methods. I aim to create a supportive and engaging learning environment where students feel confident to explore, question, and excel.
With my background in educational technology and science communication, I also incorporate tools to enhance learning, ensuring lessons are visually engaging and relevant to today’s digital landscape. These tools are typically free for educational purposes and would not be financially imposing on students' learning development. Also, being a tutor online allows for flexibility for both my students and me; post-session homework is not mandatory but students are welcome to request additional tasks to expedite their learning progress. Above all, my lessons are student-centric, and it pivots on the student's needs.
