Thank you for considering me as your tutor. To tell you a bit about me, I am a BSc Psychology graduate currently pursuing a Master's in Social Research Methods at UCL. I have recently submitted two papers for review in scientific journal, and have experience working as a Research Assistant and different projects. I also work as an Associate Lecturer for Psychology undergraduate students and have experience explaining psychology concepts, topics, and research methods in a clear, concise and understandable way. Topics I have taught include cognition, social psychology, personality, and developmental. I have also vast experience in the area of research methods and positive psychology, in particular the relationship between mindfulness and emotion.

I grew up in Brazil but have lived in the UK within the last decade. I have worked as an actor, theatre supervisor and duty manager, student support, and within teaching and research most recently. This combination of experience allow me to problem-solve and build rapport easily and quickly while understanding the difficulties students might be facing either young or mature students.

I am very happy to work with companies as well as private students. My approach to teaching twofold, first building a relaxing environment and rapport with students, and second digesting the content to make it simple and understandable for students who might be having difficulties with the topic; however, ensuring that the entirety of the content is covered. I like to work on particular issues students might be having and aiming to work towards that goal. Therefore, I will ask to see the content you need to work on and ensure I can provide the best support you need. Each individual is unique, so my approach to teaching is individualised and tailored to you. I will ask how you prefer to learn and do my best to adapt my style to your preferred learning method so you can get the most of the time we have together.
