I am a curious and passionate person who´s always looking for something new to learn. College graduate in Nanotechnology with emphasis in Bionanotechnology, strong scientific bases with a strong motivation to share my knowledge.
I´m the oldest of three, a patient teacher and a fast learner, born and raised in Mexico with ample experience in both teaching and learning environments
I´ve been a tutor for several years, both to my peers or younger students in subjects such as Mathematics, Biology, Chemistry, Physics to name a few. During my high schools years I was a substitute teacher in a local private school, teaching junior high schools students. Furthermore in my last two years of college I was part of the tutoring program in my unversity and became a personal tutor for a freshman student.
Every student have a unique way of learning and the true challenge of education lies in finding that for each and every student wether it be by listening, reading, or taking action.
I like dynamic and engaging tutoring sessions where I can connect with the students and awaken their interest in the topic at hand, more than a lecture were one talks and one listens I prefer having a a conversation with the student, answering doubts and helping them form form a connection between the subject we´re researching and their everyday life. This helps them grasp complicated concepts as they are able to narrow the gap between theory and practice.
I believe true knowledge occurs when you can take information given to you in a classroom and transport it to the outside world, finding applications for it.
