Dear whom this may concern,
I am writing to apply for the position of science teacher. After reading the job description I feel very confident that I would be the most suitable candidate for this job role.
From last three years working experience in the Education sector, I believe that I have strong communication skills and proven experience of working well in challenging situations.
Over the past three years I have been working as a teacher, I have had the valuable opportunity to teach students at various education establishments. My duties and responsibilities included delivering lessons to different classes consisting of students from various backgrounds and ages.
As I taught more than one subject and had several responsibilities to fulfil, I had to manage my time appropriately and effectively which is extremely important when handling a large workload. Having taught in both Secondary School’s as well as further education, I am able to tailor my teaching style to suit the needs of my learners. Furthermore, I am fully committed to safeguarding and supporting students that have SEN and strive to ensure their needs are being met. I have also been assigned as a form tutor and understand the pastoral responsibilities required in order to help students flourish.
Aside from the academic aspects of teaching, I have also handled the responsibility of managing student files and their records of achievement, which predominately involved the use of various Microsoft programmes. I have proven experience of word processing, Excel, PowerPoint and SIMS programs. Additionally, my roles have involved marking attendance, filing documents, assessing students work, creating lessons, data inputting and recording progress. I am a hard-working individual who can work well independently and use my own initiative. I am a responsible and reliable teacher with many important responsibilities in my previous roles consisting of lesson planning, creating schemes of work and have experience delivering English, Business Studies and Functional skills courses. I ensured I was able to deliver a high- quality learning experience to all students and was given responsibility of creating resources due to my creative flair. Due to the variation in courses that I was delivering, I was able to implement delivery methods that suited the needs of the learners in the group, as well as fulfil the demands of the syllabus.
Overall, I am a sincere and organised individual with excellent interpersonal skills. I am also bilingual, and which is useful for when working with different communities. I am self-motivated, can work successfully in a team as well as independently. It provides me with a great sense of accomplishment and job satisfaction knowing that I am contributing to the community by educating young people. Throughout the whole of my academic and working life I feel that I have always worked to the best of my ability and remained a well-motivated and trustworthy person, which is reflected in my previous reports and feedback. Education is something that is very close to my heart and I want to be able to make a difference. I hope I will be given a chance to become a part of your organisation and feel with my unique look and positive attitude to life, along with hard working skills, I will make a positive contribution.
