Tutoring is such a useful tool due to the fact that instead of an entire class, you have just one person to help and support. Whatever that person needs, you can focus on entirely and build your classes around that.
Some things they will get straight away, and others will need some thorough explanation, but with no need to regulate the pace to keep up with the rest of the class, it is fine if some concepts take a whole lesson and others only take five minutes. This means the student is always engaged because we are never focusing on things they don't want to hear again for the sake of others.
My first session will be an exploration of how it is that you learn, and what it is you might need some further help with. After that, the sessions will work through those topics one by one. Unlike school, there is no pressure to already know any of these things, that is what I'm here for. During a session, you can expect to have an explanation of the topic before looking at some questions that challenge your understanding.
What's more important than getting the right answer is understanding the reasoning behind the answers. I want to help you get to a place where you understand exactly what it is why you're doing and why you're doing it in that way. In this way, we will work through the topics until you are comfortable with each and every single one of them, in a relaxed but dedicated atmosphere.
