Rakhee Kandaiah

I have 20 years on Industry experience within the Food and Hospitality industry working for some top hotels and venues. I was also in medical education with the junior doctors and involved in mentoring.

I have been teaching in school now as i feel Food is a subject that has not had the recognition it deserves. It's a subject which is great if you love a career in the food and hospitality industry or just as a life skill.

I tend to teach 2 hours of a practical and followed by an hour of theory or more if required following the curriculum for KS3, 4 and 5.

Classes are informative and fun and it's a combination of lectures, classwork and homework which is set everyweek.

Homework is marked and end of topic tests are done to understand the strengths and weaknesses of the student.
