Prior to an official lesson, I’ll find out the board you are studying at, what the syllabus includes and what level you are currently performing at.
Once that’s been found out, I’ll tailor a plan that will improve your English ability as quickly as possible so that you can achieve the grades you want.
The vast majority of the time, students understand the key points of the syllabus but are unable to apply that to an exam context and so I will ensure that this does not apply to you!

I completed my degree in English Literature at King's College London and wrote numerous first-class essays which I would use to help improve your own work as these are obviously examples of higher work so any tips you take from there will massively improve your own work!

The lesson structure would revolve around a combination of exam technique/application and resolving any knowledge queries you may have. For example, should you be struggling with Shakespeare's Othello, I would first ensure that you have the required knowledge and then introduce you to an exam style question that would allow you to apply the aforementioned knowledge. I believe that this is the best way of learning as it requires active participation and doesn't simply involve me lecturing you for a set amount of time.
