English language learners should not be learning the fundamentals of English in isolation; they should be applying their developing language skills to rich academic content in all subjects. I strongly believe in having the pace of the student. Adding in an extra three to five seconds after we pose a question offers all students time to think. However, for English learners, it also gives time to translate, process their thinking, translate back into English, and develop the courage to answer. If we call on students too quickly, many of our students will stop thinking about the answers or trying to answer at all.

Additionally, I will help students have good communication skills. Communication skills help improve students' abilities to accurately exchange information with others. Doing so, I will help them express their feelings and other essential information they want to convey in a clear and concise manner. It's beneficial to teach students how to communicate with other classmates and adults, which also allows them to develop the skills necessary to eventually speak in public settings. I believe that teaching your students to develop creative skills allows them to express their opinions and ideas in various ways. It stimulates mental growth, which enables people to test new things. This can also help stimulate their ability to solve problems. When teaching students to express their creativity, it might be helpful to show them how to draw, write, paint, build objects or play games.

As I teach students I will identify the strengths of the student. Individuals all possess different strengths, so it's important to place each student in situations that allow them to employ theirs. This can help them concentrate on improving their best qualities while working more proficiently to overcome or address their weaknesses.
