Drawing from my experience teaching Russian, I would format English lessons for primary students and kids by incorporating interactive and age-appropriate methods that engage young learners. Lessons would be structured to include short, focused activities that build vocabulary, grammar, and conversational skills through repetition and practice, much like in language acquisition for Russian. Using visual aids, songs, and storytelling would make lessons more engaging, while games and role-playing activities would provide opportunities for active participation. Phonics would be introduced early to develop foundational reading skills, and simple dialogues and interactive tasks would foster listening and speaking proficiency. I would also incorporate Total Physical Response (TPR) to connect language learning with physical actions, ensuring the lessons remain dynamic and suitable for younger students’ developmental levels.
