About me

I have had experience receiving private tuition in mathematics which has lead me to learn which ways of teaching that I feel are effective. I have had experience receiving private tuition in mathematics which has lead me to learn which ways of teaching that I feel are effective. Similarly I am still in mathematics education which gives me a down to earth perspective on teaching as I receive tuition and help my fellow students. I work for the fun maths roadshow (FMRS) coordinated by the University of the west of England and the AMSP. The FMRS comprises of a team of academics and undergraduate students; we bring activities in mathematics of varying levels of difficulty for the students to attempt and then provide help when they need it. The project aims to spread interest for mathematics among younger students.
I have also given tuition in music and cooking, the feedback from which has been vital for my progression as a teacher.
My main interests are in Graph theory and Real Analysis, these fields both lead nicely on from GCSE and A-level Mathematics since Graph Theory is heavily based on linear algebra. Similarly Real Analysis is the underpinning theory behind the Calculus and thus gives me a good rigorous understanding of the calculus taught at A-level and similarly the algebra taught at GCSE.

My academic abilities and experience working with young people in mathematics has lead me to be a great option as a tutor of mathematics.
