Your Biology lessons will be conducted online, at times that work best for your schedule, this will allow both myself and especially you increased accessibility and availability to sessions. In addition, your lessons will be tailored to suite your individual learning needs. As such, we will focus on specific topics or sub-topics that require more attention while further strengthening your stronger skills. In order to achieve this, lessons will commence with a quick revision of the lesson content to be delivered. Based on your responses, I will then more informed of how to proceed with our lesson, in a fashion that suit your specific needs. To further boost your success, you will be allowed and encouraged to ask questions that will enhance your learning. My teaching techniques that will be employed includes famliarising ourselves with the examination board specification, focus on examiners feedback which will assist with highlighting the nature of responses that are being expected from candidates by examiners.
The study skills to be used include mind maps exercises that will allow you to physically see the and make connections between topics, highlighting how exam questions often pulls from several topics. In addition, there will be great focus on math skills which is often a lacking skill in science as questions are often covert. To aid your success, there will be focus on understanding exam questions and extended response and the acquisition of based knowledge on all topics and how to to apply this knowledge to exam style questions.
