Rachel Zayer

I am a native speaker of British English with a BA (Hons) in French and German (Language and Linguistics) and a MSc in Translation and Technology.

A linguist by nature and trade, my love of languages and linguistics is what led me to my educational and career choices, and what motivates me to help others acquire a foreign language. One of the focuses of my BA degree course was second language acquisition, which is an area of linguistics that interests me greatly.

I believe that successful language-learning very much depends on how the language is taught. I advocate an approach that is both creative, and thereby makes the learning experience fun, and tailored, to give students the practical skills they will actually need for their specific situation.
