I am an experienced teacher of languages and offer tuition to students of all ages and abilities.
Since training to teach French and German in secondary schools, I have taught in a variety of educational establishments in both the state and independent sectors for over twenty five years.
I have a proven track record of enabling all my students to meet personal and academic goals. I have achieved this by building consistently positive relationships and developing linguistic skill and confidence in all learners.
Providing a range of learning experiences and delivering my teaching through engaging and differentiated materials ensures that all learners remain challenged and make excellent progress in relation to their abilities.
In my most recent employment, I gained considerable experience in teaching Academic and General English, having gained the CELTA qualification in 2010. I taught students of a variety of nationalities and ethnicities and enhanced their motivation and personal development through creative approaches to learning and assessment. I have prepared learners for the IELTS examination and supported their progress to allow them to achieve excellent results.
My skills as a practitioner have been enhanced through active membership of two professional associations and a sustained commitment to continued professional development.
