In our first meeting I will get to know you, your learning style and preferred format of lessons. I like my lessons to be conversational and informal, so you will always have the opportunity to ask questions and ask for more detail when you want it. I can tailor the lesson plans to suit your level and focus on different skill areas according to the things you want to improve: presentations, speaking, written texts, and facts and figures. As well as a broad overview of western art history and modern and contemporary international art, I also have a wealth of experience in more specialist subjects including museum studies, museum collections management and object handling, installation of contemporary art, traditions of display in museums and art galleries.

Lessons will be adapted to meet you at the level you are at, but will challenge you to develop your skills and knowledge as well. For higher level students (post GCSE), lessons can include museum and gallery visits if this is appropriate to your learning aims.
