I like to present my information in ways that appeal to all sorts of learners; visual, auditory, reading and writing. However, regardless of how you learn I will be promoting active recall techniques to ensure effective comprehension of the information.
For essays, we will come up with a topic together or use past paper examples before planning them. I will mark strictly but positively and always give pointer on how to improve as well as have a consistent conversation about your progress. There will be a heavy focus on techniques and contexts and how to integrate them together. We will also be utilising Examiner’s Reports for secondary and sixth form content but for primary students, an emphasis will be placed on understanding language and conveying oneself through it.

For English Literature, I am experienced in: Shakespeare Texts - Macbeth, Othello, Romeo and Juliet, A Midsummers Nights Dream; 19th Century novels - A Christmas Carol, Great Expectations; 20th Century novel Things Fall Apart; Poetry - Carol Ann Duffy and AQA Poetry GCSE Anthology; Nonfiction and spoken texts - OCR Anthology
For Language, I will teach language theories and how to apply them.
I will also include lessons on original non-fiction and creative writing.
