Pyry Iisakki in a nutshell

I like to try to look at your needs and interests as a player, and try to make the lessons interesting and motivating. I tend to look at the way my teachers teach, and analyze their teaching styles. This means that I can be flexible with the teaching, and try to see what you like the most. I know first hand that unmotivating boring lessons that don't seem like the lessons that fit you the best are the biggest thing that stop people from playing an instrument or that make them not practice. I personally started my classical lessons when I was 4 in the Suzuki method (learning by ear), so I can teach either by ear or by sheet music. I also have a deep interest and knowledge of music theory (estimated ABRSM Grade 7), and I am happy to teach you music theory too if needed. I really enjoy simplifying music theory too, so if you are struggling with some concepts, I believe I can make it easier to understand! I also have performing and recording experience and we can talk about those too. It really is a different enviroment to perform or to record, and tips and tricks are important for getting the most out of it. I have experience in classical, acoustic and electric guitar from all of the years I've played. I have also been an auxiliary teacher multiple times in children's groups (notably the Näppäri course held in Kaustinen each summer, which ranks up to students, of which the vast majority is children).

Have fun!
