I passed my Math and Further Math A Levels with A stars and As because I understood why I did what I had to do. Why use calculus here, or why look at a vector equation in this way. Why can we use a particular equation in some scenarios and why not in others.
To truly grasp math, one has to understand why you use it. It helped that I learnt that on my own for the most part, because I was forced then to figure out the logic behind each equation rather than memorise the scenarios in which you apply it to.
I was asked by my school to stay back after my A Levels and teach, which I did voluntarily, for 11 months free of charge. I had a connection with those that I taught that I believe helped them. I hope to be a part of the student mentorship team at university this September as I find it easy to relate to alot of student experiences and solve problems that way.
I have been a debate coach for 2 years prior to this and taught around 30 students the way you think up arguments from 2020 to 2022. Two of them became World Schools Debaters.
I am currently a student at the University of Bristol, studying Business Analytics. I still tutor 2 Advanced Level students for revision during the months before their exams. As I go into second year at uni, I would love to get back into teaching more.
I could teach on a need base system or as a full time tutor. If you do decide to take me on full-time I will only take on two more students in total so as to give my absolute all to your child. I would however need to know after perhaps a trial session to which capacity you would like me to tutor.
