I generally try to adapt my lessons for each specific student. Some students prefer more interactive methods, so for that situation, I'd create a system like a game, where they are prized for their learning, which can condition a positive mindset for learning and encourage independent learning, For someone who likes writing, I would create lots of essay questions, where they have to think and write carefully, and I will go over their answers thoroughly. Even if all students are different, it is important to have a little bit of everything, as something like essay questions are fundamental parts of all subjects.
For each subject that I teach, I will thoroughly investigate the syllabus myself, and create lesson plans that are fit for the lessons that I will have with the student, and even structure it in a way that it would not matter if the student missed many lessons, which would make it much easier to teach in case of something happening that would prevent my teaching and also in case some subjects need to be gone through a little more with the student before they are cemented and understood. I will also be providing resources that can help with not only studying but also revision, making it much easier for a student to contain large amounts of knowledge and remember them through quick, short paragraphs. I will be making my own revision resources for students, as well as using pre existing ones that I will provide for them, usually digitally.
