Your first lesson with me will be an opportunity for me assess areas of weakness and that will need more support than others. This will help me understand your ability and I can tailor my lessons to make sure together we can work to achieve the desired goal. I will make a timetable so lessons can be planned to make sure all areas are covered in time for exams.
My lessons will primarily be taught in Oxford tutorial system style. We will work through questions together and I will break down the problem into first principles so a solid foundation can be built to have a deep understanding of Maths. I will highlight any key information required to solve the problem and key points from the course specification that often go unnoticed and are needed to pick up as many marks in the exam as you can.
Throughout my time as a student I have picked up some tips and tricks not taught at school, that helped me save time in exams and helped me succeed as a student! Through explanation of my logic and problem solving methodology I will be able to pass on this highly valuable skillset useful for only Maths but all areas of study.
If I feel like additional support is needed I may also set questions to be completed in your own time to be submitted before the session, so I can go through any questions that were more challenging for you.
In my lessons I will create a friendly atmosphere so don't hesitate to ask any questions as my goal is to make you understand and (hopefully) enjoy maths more! If you need anything explained again I will be more than happy to do so and adapt my explanations in a way you will learn, and I understand learning takes time - so I will be patient with you :)
