Working as the head Operation Manager at Beyond by Vera has helped me showcase my management and leadership skills. Beyond by Vera is a slow fashion brand by Austria-based designer, Vera Fritsch with its client base in Miami and London. Working here in the role of junior designer has given me a deep insight into the global fashion market and trends. The job role included closely working with the block printing artisans of Jaipur, Rajasthan (India), fabric sourcing, trim selection, trend research, and also understanding the B2B business model in detail.
I believe fashion as a subject is not something you find in book or lectures, it is a language you learn like any other language. It is a mode of communication of your ideas. Having studies at fashion colleges, I would prefer giving a deep insight into the topics. Then I would indulge my students in fun activities and task to get an insight into the learning. I would incorporate learning techniques to unleash the creativity and to clear the creative blocks.
