Prior to beginning lessons with students, I like to discuss what their goals and weaknesses are, as well as what they hope to gain from my tutoring lessons. After we are on the same page about the direction the lessons will take, I like to follow a method of teaching that is both interactive and structured, so we can adapt our lessons based on where the student may need more work while also keeping our session engaging. Since I have a lot of experience developing arguments and writing essays, I can help develop these skills for students regardless of what level of schooling they are presently at.
