I have tutored students English lessons to help with understanding and exams. I use a variety of methods depending on the student and I will always find a method to fit the student to make sure the most learning gets done! I am friendly and bubbly and I can make conversation easily. I am finishing my A levels and I achieved high marks in GCSE's and Mock A-level exams for English. I have tutored for 2 and a half years and I have really enjoyed it and I want to help other students get the best grades they can and feel confident in their work. I have attended one of the best private schools in East Yorkshire and have had advanced teaching which has really impacted my learning and helped me achieve top marks. I am able to teach in-person and online depending on preference and I can provide resources to aid learning. I love to read and I find this really expands my vocabulary and my imagination which has helped me in my English lessons because I am able to use more advanced vocabulary to gain marks and make my work more interesting to read. I am confident and sure in my knowledge which I believe is key to teaching as you can pass on knowledge better if you have a confident approach. I try to make lessons enjoyable for the student because I have found that the more interactive and enjoyable the lesson is, the more learning gets done and students remember what they have learnt because they can connect it to the lesson. For the past two years, I have been going into primary schools across my city to read with the students and help with their English - especially if it wasn't their native language. This has helped me see how students learn and I have found that something as simple as listening to a student read, really helps with their confidence and learning.
I am going to Drama school next year for Musical theatre and I achieve the top marks for drama and I also study Religion and philosophy which I enjoy very much. I am also able to teach these subjects along with French from years 7 to GCSE level, due to my high marks in my exams.
