My teaching approach is student-centred and very communicative; I use activities with the target of enabling students to understand how the language works and to gradually become independent users of the language. I gained an understanding of a wide range of communicative textbooks, which I use to integrate my own tailor-made activities and authentic materials, such as articles, advertisements, short stories, interviews, novels and movies. I am enthusiastic about my job and I am fluent in Spanish(C1 certificate at Cervantes) and in English(Cambridge advanced certificate) and have a decent knowledge of French which over the years has helped to understand better and help the Interlingua of many students.
Personal Skills and Competences
Attention to detail: my lesson plans need to be student-tailored and focused on specific objectives and I am very meticulous with my lessons plan preparation.
Ability to work under pressure: sometimes I receive job offers on very short notice and I have a very busy timetable that taught me how to be well organised to manage the pressure with success.
Ability to meet deadlines: As language teacher I always prepare my lesson plans and materials in time for my lessons and send them one day in advance to my students.
Creativity in teaching lessons: I always try to use creative activities or games as to make lessons more enjoyable for the students.
