My lessons range from 30 minutes to 1 hour, or as-needed. Based on my experience tutoring for the past 2 years, I like to start my lessons with an activity to review the previous weeks' lesson go over any questions from the previous week. I then go through the current weeks' lesson and end with another activity (quiz, drawing, game) to solidify the current weeks' topic. I end with questions and points to review for next week. I find this method helps student's understanding of the concepts and can help identify any gaps in understanding. I also like to adapt my teaching style and visual aids to student's preferences and what works best for them. Everyone has a different learning and studying style and I like to help my students identify their's!
