My lessons are one-to-one and usually begin with a student bringing me some work that they find particularly tricky. Once we have gone through this together often other tricky areas are highlighted for us to go through in the next lesson. I find that the most productive sessions are when the student is able to find the areas they struggle with and come to me with questions. My lessons can be as formal and informal as the student wants or needs, I only just finished school so I understand the stress of struggling in class and sometimes a new perspective and a friendly face is all that's needed to explain a topic. I received an A in A-level maths and a 9 at GCSE so this content is very familiar to me and I know all the tricks having just been through the system myself. I have particular experience with working with those with physical and mental disabilities through my volunteer work teaching sailing and taking patients on a pilgrimage to Lourdes each year with the OMV, I think that this has helped to work on my communications skills and appreciate each person's very individual set of needs.
