About me

I've worked in the early careers space for the past 7 years, and have a genuine passion for helping to guide those at the start of their careers.

I've worked in the early careers space for the past 7 years, and have a genuine passion for helping to guide those at the start of their careers.
I started out as a CV screener, and CV advice is still something I really enjoy. Creating a well crafted, impactful, one-page CV is a challenge, but one I thrive on.
I've helped hundreds of students to tackle applications, whether that's for work experience, internships, industrial placements and job roles. I'm happy advising on initial applications, CVs, cover letters, online testing, assessment centres, and interviews.
Over the years, I've worked on recruitment cycles for companies such as EY, Ofcom and Ford, but also have experience with start-ups and scales ups.
My experience as a public speaking coach allows me to advise on good interview technique, imposter syndrome, dealing with feedback and the power of networking.
I'm a big believer in D&I and love providing the tools to allow others to succeed. I'm a straight, white, CIS male who understands his obligation to hold the door open when I can.
I'm comfortable teaching in 1-1 sessions, or in larger groups. I'm also happy in-person or collaborating online.
My style is friendly and practical. I love working to find a solution together, whether that be a quick fix, or a longer term goal that needs more attention. I also believe that I shouldn't be adding to your workload. You should leave my sessions feeling empowered and not overwhelmed.
I often use powerpoint as a lesson guide, but am at my best working on documents together.
