Hi. My name is Peter and I am a native British speaker who is a certTESOL qualified TEFL teacher.
I have extensive experience in teaching, from small groups to full-size classes, across age groups and different native languages. In particular, Slavic (including Czechs and Ukrainians) Spanish (Iberian and Argentinian) and Hong Kong/Cantonese.
I have 20 years' business experience, which means I am well placed and versed to teach the nuances of (British) Business English, ideal for corporates and individuals wishing to develop their skills in this field.
Lessons will focus on British English. However, other forms will be discussed, especially differences between British English and, e.g. American.
Any lesson will be strongly focused on the student, be this talking, finding out the solutions themselves and, especially on 121s, based on areas of interest. This can be hobbies, what they wish to learn specifically in English and so on. A key part of the certTESOL course is to learn how to do "learner profiles," including language analysis. The result of this approach is that any 121 student will get a highly tailored, analytical-based lesson, which will result in higher engagement and progress.
I offer the first lesson for free. This is likely to take the form of a learner profile, so that I can create and plan a course for your specific needs and interests.
I look forward to helping you develop your English so that you can use this global language for whatever your own personal goals may be.
Many thanks,
Peter
