I have recently confirmed my skills in mathematics by completing the GCSE Mathematics 1 to 9 course at night school. I did well enough, achieving a grade 9. My success was well received at the college and I have subsequently been utilised as an hourly paid lecturer based at the Broxbourne and Ware campus of HRC Turnford. In support of becoming a lecturer I completed additional night classes at the college this year to obtain my (Level 3 - PTTLs) certification and am preparing for the next phase in my teacher training (Level 4 - CTTLs).

I am an experienced Private Tutor of Maths and Physics with a proven track record in helping students to achieve top grades in each/either subject. These private sessions continue, and once again, I have a busy schedule of 15 private sessions per week. I offer expert tuition and support classes for all levels and presently have two 9 year olds and two 12 year olds under my wing. I find that students of all abilities benefit from my lessons which are a combination of intensity and fun

With 35 years experience in the technical IT industry, I have developed excellent skills in converting seemingly difficult topics into easily understandable bite sized messages. These past few years I have utilised these skills to assist students of all ages pass their exams-I am fully equipped and experienced in delivering online sessions. I will travel to teach at your home when required, I am educated to HNC level and hold my PTLLS level 3. I am comfortable working with school college university or adult students alike. I have developed skills and experience in teaching to KS, NVQ, City and Guilds, GCSE, and IGCSE standards.(AQA EDEXCEL CIE). This year a few students stayed with me whilst working through there year 12 As Maths certification


MY AVAILABILITY
I work in line with the student school day, therefore my earliest lessons commence at 15:45 and my latest can commence at 20:15 if required. I am available throughout most weekends

NEW GCSE 1 to 9 Format and Syllabus
GCSE 9-1 has made it difficult for students to gain good grades. These grades will usually increase as the amount of tuition and self-practice increases. Therefore commencing early should lead to improved results in the GCSE exams.
Although the syllabus has only changed slightly the new topics expected of the students are in the difficult range and usually need specific attention

I teach directly from the student class workbook. In support of this I utilise CGP revision guides to help students to understand where and why they are going wrong – if they are getting things wrong.

• Students usually opt for a 1 hour lesson but 90 minute or 2 hour lessons allow enhanced delivery of ideas topics and practice exercises.
• I was born with innate ability in Maths and assisted in my teachers in class throughout my school and polytechnic years. This commenced at the ripe old age of 6 years old!! I am passionate about Maths and about understanding the processes of studying, learning then passing exams.
