I have been teaching my own university classes since 2000 at various types of tertiary institutions and in various countries. Teaching someone how to learn, how to make statistical choices, how to find information, and how to write are skills that develop slowly over time but once achieved you will have something precious that will be useful for the rest of your life and far beyond your school work. Critical thinking is an overused term but an essential skill to develop. It has less to do with your opinions about something and more about how those opinions are formed and how to make sense of and even argue with other people's opinions or ideas. This is all a long way of saying that studying with me will allow you to become a scientist in life and by profession. That science will be based on clarity of thought, a focus on data and logic, and an eye for BS, fallacies, and conspiratorial thinking that are common these days.
