Peter Gardiner

I am an undergraduate in Politics and International Relations at the University of Bath, currently working at a 2:1 average. I am experienced in tutoring A-Level Politics, and last year supported my student in increasing his grade from a D to a B. I studied Politics, English and History at A-Level achieving As across all of them. I have also worked in schools across Africa delivering charitable education initiatives and work currently with a charity delivering business training programs. My style is very adaptable, but I prefer a more student led, informal manner of teaching where I have a chat with my students about applying the concepts of politics to contemporary or historical events, as I find that forming an opinion and discussing political concepts in relation to real life examples is the best way for students to learn. I especially enjoy political ideology and international politics, but have a very solid understanding of the UK system (and it's convoluted way of working sometimes!!!). In terms of exams, I like to take a multidimensional approach to revision, applying knowledge to example questions first with my students and then letting them take the lead on another one.
