Pete Hewage

Hi! Im Pete, and Im studying Aerospace Engineering at the University of Bristol. I teach maths fully online, using whiteboard technology primarily to help convey understanding of the subject. We will be on-call via a platform such as zoom. I aim to teach students to understand the subject on a deeper level before tackling tricky questions, so that they are prepared to face any mathematical problem.
I went through my GCSEs and A Levels with only my school as support, and achieved 9 Grade 9s in GCSE (alongside a Distinction Star in a Level 1 Engineering BTEC), and Straight A*'s in A levels of Mathematics, Physics and Computer Science, alongside a Distinction in Level 3 National BTEC Engineering.
You can be sure that I will support you, and help you to achieve your goals. As a University student myself, I understand the struggle of exams, and can relate to where you are with your studies and understanding - I've been there before, and not too long ago!
The content I deliver will be fully personalised, and based on where you need the additional support. I aim to build your confidence, taking you through tricky areas slowly, building an understanding that will allow you to feel secure in your mathematical abilities. If you ever have any issues, you do not need to feel like you're forced onto a strict lesson plan - these lessons are just for you, so we can work together!
