In my experience, the most effective learning style has been experiential learning, especially when applied in the subject of psychology. This allows students to apply the topics they learn to real life scenarios around them, or examples of scenarios, creating a deep understanding and memory of the content they are learning. This allows students to focus on the why as well as the what, which is crucial in the field of any social science. The dynamic of the lesson will be a complete breakdown of the topic being taught, ensuring a full understanding, then a zoom in on key aspects of the topic that the student may be struggling with or that is significant for their learning and understanding. The approach to teaching will vary based on the topic being taught, and a personalised teaching style will be paramount throughout the students learning.
