As a student I was always determined to achieve the best possible results. I had the support of great teachers and through dedication and hard work I was able to achieve these. As a tutor of Languages, I still stand by these principles.

My career started in law, which helped me develop great argumentative and organisational skills, strengthening my ability to work individually, but also as part of a team. After moving to England, I held several positions in retail and hospitality, where I worked alongside a wide range of personalities, with different histories and backgrounds. I eventually progressed to the stage where I got to train and develop my own team, which was an extremely rewarding experience. I have found that the skills and knowledge gained in these industries have been a great asset, both in and beyond the classroom, and have transferred well into the educational setting. Furthermore, they also equipped me with the experience to deal with the management and administration side of any job.

As Teacher of Languages, I have had the opportunity to teach Spanish and French in a variety of schools, ranging from independent/ private, to state schools and I have taught a wide range of pupils, both in Spanish and French. I am also a native Portuguese speaker, which enables me to teach Spanish, French and Portuguese to a high degree. Having also studied English to A Level in as a second language, I understand how to support students whose English is not their first language.

I am passionate about speaking languages and this is reflected in my approach to teaching. My sessions are a means to expose students to the target language as much as possible, whilst providing a welcoming and stable, but also fun environment. I am always trying different learning styles and adapting my teaching to the needs of students. In my career I have been praised on my ability to support and challenge all students, no matter their level of ability.

During my career I already had the opportunity to make contributions for the design of curriculums, as well as assessments. I have also excelled in creating and updating support materials for students to use in lessons and to assist with their study and revision efforts.
