Pedro Afonso Goncalves

So far I have add positive results in ABRSM certificate accomplishment with my students. My method of teaching is based on the student's abilities and personality, I take into account the artistic side of each individual and I always work to enhance the artistic vision of my pupils.

With my experience of 12+ years of violin training I have add the opportunity to work with several musicians from all over the world, getting an insight of several learning techniques and how to put them to practice.

I always seek to improve the technical abilities of my students in order to build the language they will manifest their artistry.

One of my ideals is also to build a healthy stereotype around the student teacher relationship as we both are learning to improve in something as beautiful as music.

My professional experience includes freelance work and orchestral work with Portuguese and British orchestras, being a fixed member of Sinfonietta de Castelo Branco and Orquestra sem Fronteiras in Portugal, and Noxwode Ensemble in the UK.

As for teaching I am currently a violin tutor at the Cardiff Music School and also a private teacher in Cardiff.
