I'm a final year Experimental Psychology student at the University of Oxford, with a particular interest in Language and Clinical Psychology.
Having completed A-Level Psychology myself, I am very familiar with how fact-heavy it can be, and how it can often feel like trying to memorise a whole textbook. Now that I've been part of many classes/tutorials at Oxford, I believe in a more explorative style of teaching, which invovles getting the student to think of and develop their own theories and arguments, as this often helps things stick better in the memory.

In my lessons, we would start by going over the facts we need to know, such as important details of key studies. I would make sure any questions you have about details of studies are answered, and that you have a good understanding of this information. From then, we would approach the evaluation side of Psychology A-Level in a more discursive way, in which we would discuss what we think some problems with the research at hand might be, how these issues impact the research, how they could be solved, and relating the research to wider debates in Psychology. I can discuss new research and share it with you, so that you can use it in your own work - something which teachers and examiners always appreciate.

While Psychology A-Level is clearly divided into topics and sections, it's all interrelated and understanding these relationships will help you achieve the top grades - I could definitely help with the drawing of these links between topic material.
