I have been tutoring for over a decade and worked with over 200 students. Building my students confidence is key to their success.

Each topic is tailored to the student. Sessions cover an individual topic; each topic is explained with examples to reinforce learning and then the student is given questions to complete to further illustrate understanding. There is constant interaction/dialogue/explanations between myself and the student with time given to complete answers which is then explained back to me. Only when the student fully understands the topic, do I move onto a new topic.

For example- do you know what a noun is? Explain and give an example.
Can you list the different types of nouns and give further examples.
Write a sentence using a common noun, proper noun, abstract noun and a collective noun. Read it aloud. At this point I give positive feedback and praise.

A good story punctuated well and is grammatically correct makes for a fantastic story.
