I am a French native speaker born in Reunion Island. I lived in Paris for five years where I first graduated in performing arts studies at la Sorbonne Nouvelle Paris 3 and studied acting at the Cours Florent drama school. I moved to London one year ago to continue my studies in film and audiovisual arts. I finished my Master at Birkbeck, University of London, in film and screen media one month ago. During my Master I had the opportunity to work for a cinema and improve my knowledge of film marketing strategies. I indeed come from a performing arts background. However, when I moved to London, I discovered a big interest in teaching my native language and sharing my culture to learners.
I am currently an art gallery assistant regularly teaching French to several friends. My studies and my experience in tutoring helped me to develop significant time-management skills. Through my experience in teaching, I learned how to efficiently structure sessions and write strong feedbacks that would stress students' improvements and provide them important advices. I became used to constantly ensure that students are progressively achieving the highest grade. I am currently passionate about teaching. In fact, I find it extremely rewarding to be able to share my knowledge of the French culture, but also of the Reunionese culture coming from Reunion Island.
I believe that it would be truly interesting to teach the French language as a unique culture first, more than a mere language that can sometimes, at first sight, be seen as complex and particularly difficult to learn.
