Hey, My name is Paula and I’m a wellbeing and CBT coach and I strive to help others and further my knowledge and skills in life & wellbeing. I hope to promote positivity and enlightenment to other people in supporting them to make positive changes in their wellbeing. As a positive person myself, I am known to be empathic, and have been nicknamed ‘PMAP’ (Positive Mental Attitude Paula) from many close friends due to my many positive quotes and outlooks.
After a few personal challenges of my own, I decided to go back studying during covid times to re-evaluate emotions that I felt within myself during such a very delicate time when the world nearly stood still for a few months. After a lot of late nights, and some sleepless ones 2 with juggling being a mum, I graduated in July 2024 with a BSc (Hons) in Psychology!????
Throughout those years I challenged myself doing extended study to further my knowledge, and with having a large interest in CBT (Cognitive Behavioural Therapy), I am now an accredited CBT and wellness coach and I’m also a member of BABCP (British Association for Behavioural and Cognitive Psychotherapies). Currently I am completing my Masters in Applied Psychology with taking the Psychological Wellbeing Practitioner (PWP) route which will further my knowledge using cognitive behavioural therapy-informed approaches to help people with their mental health.
My aim is to make a positive difference in people's lives to contribute to a happier and healthier mindset. Personally, my main motto in life is that ‘It’s good to talk!’ And thankfully I’m a great listener!?? I appreciate it isn’t always easy to be positive all the time, as life can throw us a few battles along the way, but I personally feel that sometimes it’s easier to talk to someone outside of your inner circle and without judgement.
At present I currently do online zoom calls for anyone needing someone to talk to or needing emotional support. It is completely private and confidential, and I offer it to all ages and genders. I am very grateful and thankful for all the people who reach out to me, and I hope I can always implement some PMA to always make your darkest days seem easier ??
