I am a qualified Mountain Leader with several years experience of teaching navigation to the British Army and to the public.
I initially start in the classroom for 1-2 hours, before moving the experience outdoors to do practical work with map and compass, using Ordnance Survey maps. I assist with the formulas used to calculate distance, time, elevation etc.
The lessons would be of benefit to any persons wanting to make their outdoor walking activities safer and more enjoyable, and also to companies wanting to engage their staff in fun, useful team bonding experiences.
I have an annual rolling DBS.
