I look to work with the student to identify areas of weakness and then unpick the issues. We work on recall skills of key facts, linking ideas for deeper understanding and exam technique.

There would be a formal taught part of the lesson based on where you are currently in a topic and followed by work to develop that skill.

I have been teaching GCSE sciences (AQA) and A level chemistry (OCR A) for 14 years and am a marker for the AQA summer series on a regular basis so have verified experience of applying markschemes in terms of what would be allowed for answers.
