Using my own materials and strategies built up over many years helping students achieve top grades.

Topics are condensed and focused on the core theories broken down into more easily identified and understood steps.
After the student will then quickly progress to learning and applying that theory to practice questions gradually increasing in difficulty. This will help connect that theory to the various potential formats that may be used in the exams.
Finally we will use lots of actual Past Paper questions and examples from previous exams to help tie everything together - from the theory, to the practical application in practice questions to the actual exam style questions and formats they will encounter in the final GCSE/IGCSE Mathematics exams.

All materials, worksheets and questions are provided as part of the course cost.

This course is recommended for either:
Failing or borderline failing student who needs an intervention strategy to ensure passing and maximising the potential grade
Students passing but who would like to achieve top grades A/A*

This is a well proven strategy and learning process which I have used countless times. As a general guide from my own experience students who are around B/C grades prior go on to achieve A/A* and those worried about failing and grading at C/D before intervention go on to get A/B grades in the real exams.

Recommended time is 2 one hour classes per week although if scheduling is an issue then 1 two hour session is possible. For maximum benefit between 4-6 months of lessons (2 hours per week) before exam date depends on the student's current level, as well as the amount of effort put in and attention paid.

This is a set course with a set curriculum and learning process focused on maximising the students potential in the GCSE/IGCSE exams. It will not be a homework help lesson - each hour is planned and focused; therefore will not run alongside in-school lessons.

GCSE/IGCSE - the course and materials make clear the similarities and different topics that can appear in IGCSE. If a student needs help with the IGCSE Mathematics exam this will be explained and clarified for the student so they will learn the different topics that may not appear in the GCSE curriculum but do appear in the IGCSE curriculums.

Lots of practice worksheets and questions and past papers for student practice - happy to provide plenty of practice if requested in the lesson.

Private 1-1 and small group sessions available.
For private lessons just 1-1 then available days and times can be organised through direct contact and will try to be as flexible and accommodating as possible.
Group sessions will have a limit of 5 students and a minimum of 3. Scheduled classes for groups paid monthly. If 3 students join or express interest in a new class time then this can potentially be opened up when the number of students is at three.
