I bring my personality and experience to every lesson I teach with clear visual examples and explanations along the way.
I have been a professional photographer for over 20 years, shooting weddings, portraits, working with commercial and corporate clients.
In 2018 i switched my genre specialism to food photography, combining my passion for image making and my love of food. Since then I have focused on editorial food capture, and have shot 30 cookbooks with an independent publisher, shot business class menus for an international airline and had my recipe images featured in many well known magazines. My work has also included content creation for small food brands, cafes, restaurants and chefs.
My photographic is not by no means limited to food and my wealth of professional photographic experience brings a unique dynamic to my teaching.

We start off with a Q&A session so that I can gauge your level of understanding and knowledge of photography / your camera and what your learning objectives are.
For beginners I cover:
*Basic functions of your camera/lens and core maintenance
*Manual exposure control : ISO, Aperture priority, Shutter priority, Manual mode
*Composition
*Digital B&W
*White Balance
*Metering
*Bracketing/ Exposure Compensation

All lessons have practical tasks attached to them to confirm subject comprehension. We will go through these images together and handle any queries.
