I offer a customised learning approach which is guided by the needs of the pupil. I encourage the pupil to set the topic if (s)he wants.

Not only do I cover the specification required but I also tailor the lesson to the student by:

• revision techniques and how to use them
• coaching in weak areas - and how to spot your weak areas
• practical test advice (for students in Wales)
• typical exam questions asked - this differs from exam board to exam board
• producing "live" revision questions - these can be written by myself or from exam papers
• homework questions set and marked - we can do this at the start of the lesson so it becomes an ongoing process
• reteaching missed topics - particularly useful if a student needs to catch up pr has been ill for some time during the year or missed lessons due to COVID
• exam and mock exam preparation - rigorously examining past exam material specific to the students needs.

My experience as an assistant examiner can give a student insight into how exam questions are written and how exam questions should be answered. I have significant knowledge of different mark schemes for different awarding bodies and the necessary terms and answers required in order to achieve for each exam.

While I cannot do the exam for you or indeed do the work or revision necessary for you to pass - what I can do is show you how to approach revision sand explain what is required in order to achieve a reasonable grade.
