Having had experience teaching students with little to know knowledge and experience of the English language, I am able to tailor lessons to individual skill level to find out what you want out of your lesson and how best to achieve that. I like to act more like a guide than a teacher, providing students with the tools to discover and learn the language for themselves.
For my lessons, I like to use the PPP format: Presentation, where the subjects or vocabulary are presented to the students. This is followed by the Practice stage, which allows students to practice and develop with the language that has been presented to them, using it in context, practicing grammar forms etc., and finally the Production stage, during which the students will be able to use what they’ve learned and practiced in the lesson to independently produce a piece of work, with a focus on what has been taught so far.
