My lessons are focused on getting students to be more comfortable with exams. I work with students through a lesson-plan tailored to them and the exam board they are studying with. My lessons are focused on getting students to be more comfortable with exams. I work with students through a lesson-plan tailored to them and the exam board they are studying with. These lessons develop the student's confidence in answering exam questions within the time-frame and to the highest standard.

I also offer revision sessions. These are for students who have not identified a particular weakness in their work, but are looking for help when revising. I find these are the most useful to those students who struggle to focus on revision independently, or feel the they don't know where to start. Together we will create a revision plan and work through this together leading up to their exams. As the tutor, I will identify areas of focus for the students and work with them to overcome topics they are struggling with.

I have previously worked with GCSE English students to improve their essay-style answers to twenty and forty mark questions. Starting with lessons on analytical thinking and identifying techniques, we work through quick-fire argument development, in order to produce practice answers that are consistently achieving marks of 7 and 8.

All of my lessons re 1-2-1 and are tailored to the student I am working with. I have found that this is best, as it helps me to develop a learning pathway that focuses on the individual student's needs. Occasionally as we are working through these sessions, I will alter the learning pathway in order to target an area for improvement that we have come across.
