I have now 9 years teaching mathematics since I graduated from college and the skills and knowledge gained will enable learners to find it easier in solving mathematics problems.
I recommend to use learner centered approach such as inquiry based learning to foster the learner ability to investigate,think and work independently and collaboratively this will also enhance learners understanding in mathematics.
This approach will encourage learner to be active in learning throughout the lesson.
This approach that I will use will provide learners with opportunity to:
1.Learn to cope with the problems that may not have clear solutions
2.Develope the skills they need in life
3.Deal with the changes and challenges to understanding
4.Shape their such for solutions,now and in the future
5.Internalize a process for inquiry that is transferable to everyday life situations.
All these will also enable them to :
1.Demonstrate ability to design activities
2.Demonstrate the understanding of inquiry based learning for effective learning
3. Appreciate the role of the approach used by the teacher.
The methods to be applied during my lessons shall be:
Discussion
Role play
Conducting activities
Modelling
Projects
Individual work
Asking questions

The inquiry based teaching strategy will include; problem statement,Data collection, Analysis and finally Conclusion that leads them to the answers
These will enable them to individually design and carry out an Experiment or an investigation that help them to find answers of the questions given by me and also to analyze and interpret the data ,hence able to explain the findings of their own answers when giving response as per the questions asked by the tutor.
